Welcome
The Będkowska Valley, hidden in Poland’s Kraków-Częstochowa Upland, is one of the prettiest and geologically rich valleys in the region. Carved over centuries through Jurassic limestone by the small but energetic Będkówka brook, its dramatic cliffs and rock formations have always attracted romantics, nature lovers and adventurers.
In the mid-20th century, it became a popular destination for Polish climbers, especially as mountaineering in the Tatras became more restricted and difficult during communist rule. Iconic climbing spots like Sokola Skała and Dupna Skała have hosted generations of climbers honing their skills on its vertical faces. Today, Będkowska remains a key part of Poland’s climbing culture, offering a mix of traditional and sport routes in a serene, forested setting.
